Mental Health Panel Discussion: Dispelling Myths about Living with Mental Illness & Recovery

NAMI on Campus, Active Minds, Towson University Counseling Center, and On Our Own of Maryland have collaborated to compile a panel of speakers focused on experiences with mental illness and recovery. The event aims to educate attendees about the realities of living with mental illness, provide resources on how to seek services, and offer hope to individuals that may be struggling or have a friend/family member struggling with mental illness. The theme of this panel discussion will center on recovery and dispelling of myths. Panelists include Danna Thomas (Miss Baltimore) and other individuals who will share their personal stories, including what helps them maintain their recovery and lead full lives of their choosing. Their presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
